Job Description

Babcock & Wilcox is seeking a skilled Welder Fabricator to join our team in a Union Shop environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing welding operations on parts associated with B&W standard products using Gas Metal Arc Welding processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate GMAW welding equipment, shielding gas mixers, stud welders, belt sanders, stone saws, overhead cranes, oxy-acetylene torch, tape measure, square, hand grinding equipment, regulators, high pressure gas cylinders, plasma torch equipment.
  • Produce welds in accordance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
  • Pass a weld certification test using the GMAW process.
Requirements:
  • High School Degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years welding experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the following tools and equipment: GMAW welding equipment, shielding gas mixers, stud welders, belt sanders, stone saws, overhead cranes, oxy-acetylene torch, tape measure, square, hand grinding equipment, regulators, high pressure gas cylinders, plasma torch equipment.
Compensation:

The starting rate of pay would be $28.82.
