The primary function of the Neonatal Advanced Practice Nurse involves close collaboration with the Director of the Neonatology Program alongside healthcare professionals in the Mother-Baby Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Units, and Labor and Delivery departments.
Core duties encompass delivering primary care for high-risk newborns, engaging with nursing staff and multidisciplinary team members, and liaising with community organizations.
Performance metrics are established by the Director of Neonatology and the Chief Advanced Practice Nurse of the institution.
- Required Qualifications:
Must hold certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse in New Jersey, possessing at least a Master's Degree in Nursing. Licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse in New Jersey is mandatory, along with a minimum of two years of relevant nursing experience. Certifications in BLS, NRP, and ACLS are essential.
