Job Summary:

Mercy is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our medical team on a part-time basis. As an LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced telemetry unit, working closely with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and documenting patient information.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
  • Current LPN license in the state where nursing duties are performed.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

Unit Information:

Our 6B telemetry unit provides care for acutely ill inpatients, with a focus on sepsis, respiratory/covid, cardiac issues, renal disease, GI bleeds/complications, and strokes. Our team is trained to monitor high flow oxygen devices and is stroke certified, among other advanced skills.
