We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Cardiac Medical Surgical team at Mercy. As an LPN on our 4B Cardiac Unit, you will provide high-quality patient care to adult cardiac patients, focusing on drug loading, post-angioplasty, congestive heart failure, vascular, and medical patients.
Responsibilities- Monitor telemetry and provide skilled care to patients with pacemakers, ICA devices, and post-angioplasty patients.
- Administer medications, including 5 main medication drips, and manage patient care plans.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
- Participate in weekend rotation every 2 weeks, with flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the unit.
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
- Current LPN license within the hiring state, with the ability to meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
- Preferred certifications: IV Certification.
