Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled LPN to join our Cardiac team at Mercy. As a Cardiac Intermediate LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our unit.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients with cardiac conditions, including CHF, chest pain, and drug loading.
  • Monitor telemetry and perform various clinical skills, such as pacemaker/ICA care and post-angiography care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medication administration and treatment plans.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
  • Current LPN licensure in the state of hire.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Preferred certification: IV Certification.
  • Ability to stand/walk most of the time, with significant bending and stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance.
