Role Overview:
As a Lead Mechanical Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and execution of hardware mechanical tests through both component and system-level verification for advanced research hardware and integration vehicle development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Materials Engineers, to oversee component and system-level verification testing for research hardware.
• Design, develop, and validate comprehensive test setups that incorporate mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
• Manage both internal and external resources to facilitate the development of test setups and the execution of tests.
• Work closely with various design teams to deliver well-documented test results within established timelines.

Qualifications:
• A minimum of 2 years of experience with Python, Matlab, or similar programming languages.
• Proven experience in statistical data analysis and measurement system analysis.
• Familiarity with mechanical fabrication processes and hands-on experience in assembling electro-mechanical systems.
• Demonstrated ability to specify and integrate instrumentation and motion control systems, including motors, drivers, encoders, pressure transducers, accelerometers, and flow sensors.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in developing innovative testing methodologies and designing test equipment for compact electromechanical consumer electronics.
• Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to establish testing requirements and metrics that enhance the maturity of research-grade hardware.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience with 3D CAD design modeling tools such as NX or Solidworks.
