Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Prototype Test Engineer to join our team in Redmond, WA. This role is In-Office. The pay range is $100,000 - $125,000/year DOE.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute test plans to verify product performance and identify potential defects.
  • Collaborate with design engineering staff to create targeted engineering evaluations.
  • Analyze test results and provide recommendations for design improvements.
  • Program and maintain test equipment, including tensile testers, industrial robots, and temperature chambers.
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure compliance with Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of degreed experience in product or design verification testing.
  • Comprehensive understanding of mechanical test methodologies and techniques.
  • Experience with materials testing, drop testing, IPX testing, high-speed video, and 3D modeling.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a growing, dynamic team and ability to thrive in a virtual and fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace and/or MS Office products.
  • Intermediate functionality with Siemens NX, Teamcenter, and/or Solidworks.
  • Adhesive dispense knowledge preferred.
  • Experience with Instron Bluehill and/or WaveMatrix software.
