Job Overview

Avanti Restaurant Solutions is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Buyer to join our team. As a Buyer, you will play a critical role in managing all aspects of the purchasing and procurement process, working closely with various departments to align purchasing strategies and company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, submit, revise, and track purchase orders based on project needs, considering lead-time, delivery date, and shipping method.
  • Ensure that inventory levels on-order or on-hand are sufficient to meet project needs and prevent shortages.
  • Accurately receive goods in NetSuite upon delivery to warehouses or end-users, ensuring timely processing.
  • Understand and leverage preferred vendor programs, including differences between buying group and non-buying group vendors.
  • Stay informed about product categories that are significant to Avanti's business.
  • Utilize tools such as AutoQuotes to enhance product knowledge and procurement strategies.
  • Attend corporate lunch-and-learns and other training sessions. Aim to obtain CFSP certification if not already certified.

Requirements:

  • Self-motivated to perform consistently at a high level.
  • Highly organized with a great attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Outstanding time management skills.
  • Resourceful with an ability to problem solve independently.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
  • Ability to multitask and be flexible.
  • An ability to work in a fast-paced environment and create efficiencies along the way.
  • Fast learner who picks up new processes, technology, etc quickly.

What We Offer:

  • Full-time, hourly non-exempt position.
  • Salary: $55K-$70K DOE.
  • Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, 401k match, PTO, and company sabbatical.
