We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Claims Manager to join our team of professionals dedicated to providing exceptional service to Chubb's insured clients nationwide. This role focuses on managing complex general liability and automobile claims, encompassing both litigated and non-litigated cases.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service and collaborate effectively with insureds, brokers, and TPAs in the adjustment of a wide range of casualty, specialty risks, and business auto claims.
  • Analyze coverage thoroughly and communicate coverage positions clearly, as directed by supervisors and the coverage unit.
  • Conduct, coordinate, and oversee investigations into loss facts and the extent of third-party damages.
  • Direct and closely monitor assignments to experts and defense counsel, ensuring efficient and effective case management.
  • Evaluate information related to coverage, liability, and damages to determine the potential exposure for both the insured and the company.
  • Set reserves within authorized limits or recommend claim reserve adjustments to supervisors.
  • Travel to conferences, mediations, and trials as required. Travel frequency may range from 0% to 25%, potentially increasing based on business needs.

Who We Seek

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a proven track record in claims management. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Ten or more years of experience as a claims professional or attorney, demonstrating specialized and technical expertise in handling high-exposure claims, particularly in file and litigation management.
  • Extensive experience in automobile and general liability (GL) claims, including products liability, premises liability, oil/gas and energy, trucking, and advertising injury claims.
  • A strong background and demonstrated ability in addressing significant coverage matters, including comprehensive analyses of additional insured provisions.
  • A solid understanding of insurance principles and legal concepts.
  • Knowledge of Property & Casualty Group coverage and services.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices and procedures.
  • The ability to work independently, effectively assimilate learning materials from diverse sources, and demonstrate strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills, enabling effective interaction with clients and business partners in a professional manner.
  • A demonstrated ability to make prompt, informed decisions based on detailed analysis of complex issues.
  • Strong relational skills, particularly in challenging or high-pressure situations.
  • While a law degree is not mandatory, it is highly recommended.

You will be required to obtain an applicable resident or designated home state adjuster's license and potentially additional state licenses, if necessary.
