Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Legal Administrative Specialist to support our Federal Government contract in Winchester, VA.

In this role, you will provide administrative support for incoming Freedom of Information and Privacy Act (FOI/PA) requests and declassification reviews, ensuring transparency in our government and safeguarding sensitive information.

As a Legal Administrative Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing administrative support to search, collect, and analyze responsive documents for incoming FOI/PA requests and maintaining information in a database.
  • Completing and delivering files ready for FOI/PA processing, while maintaining control of classified documents.
  • Searching government databases for background information and conducting record searches on requested information.
  • Researching, reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting all responsive information.
  • Compiling, preparing, and reporting findings from available relevant information to customers within established guidelines, legal constraints, and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintaining performance to ensure the delivery of timely, high-quality work, consistent with customer specifications, while handling multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements for this position include:

  • A current, active Top Secret security clearance with CI Poly that is verifiable in JPAS or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.
  • Successful completion of a 4-6 week training course once onboard and passing the test at the end of the course.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of related experience. Years of experience can be substituted for education.
  • Separating or former military personnel with related experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience processing and conducting declassification reviews, FOI/PA requests, National Name Checks requested by a federal agency, or general Records and Information Management is desired but not required.
