Winchester Neurological Consultants, Inc. is a leading provider of neurological care in the Winchester community. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Neurological Care Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Neurological Care Specialist to provide high-quality patient care in a private practice setting. The ideal candidate will have a Master's level Family Nurse Practitioner degree and active Virginia license.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive physical assessments and establish diagnoses for common short-term health problems and chronic, long-term health problems.
  • Order, perform, and/or interpret laboratory data and diagnostic procedures.
  • Prescribe drugs according to an approved formulary established by the Board of Medicine in the State of Virginia.
  • Counsel patients on medication administration, health risk and stress reduction, diet, exercise, and psycho-socio-economic health problems.
  • Refer patients to physicians within the practice and other health care providers as necessary.
  • Provide initial emergency assessment and care until physician assistance and/or relocation to an acute care facility is made.
  • Document effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Participate in practice-based research.
  • Attend community charity events, networking events, research surveys, company meetings, in-services, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Master's level Family Nurse Practitioner degree from an accredited learning institution and active Virginia license.
  • DEA license must be active and in good standing.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider Basic Lifesaving (BLS) certificate.
