Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Snow Reporter to join our team at Jay Peak Resort. As a Snow Reporter, you will play a critical role in assisting with Marketing and Communication projects, as well as supporting the Events team. Your primary focus will be to develop and execute daily snow report messaging and updates across various channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute daily snow report messaging and updates across all relevant channels, including the Jay Peak website, snow phone, and social media platforms.
  • Work closely with Ski Patrol and Mountain Operations to ensure accurate and timely communication of snow conditions to guests.
  • Assist with the creation, execution, and marketing of on-mountain, social, employee, and music events.
  • Interact with guests to create awareness around resort events and activities.
  • Assist with on-campus merchandising and collateral distribution.
  • Support on-snow and off-snow events as assigned.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
