Housing Services Coordinator Role

Department: Transitional Housing Services

Reports to: Program Director

FLSA Status: Non Exempt

Compensation: $26.22 per hour

Position Overview:

The Housing Services Coordinator plays a vital role in aiding families to secure permanent residences by orchestrating housing service initiatives that align with WIN's contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement evidence-based methodologies to assist clients in reaching their housing objectives
  • Support families in navigating the application procedures for housing subsidies
  • Establish connections with real estate agents and property owners
  • Organize housing workshops and informational fairs
  • Facilitate group discussions with new families regarding permanent housing alternatives
  • Coordinate property viewings and provide assistance with housing applications
  • Monitor referrals and ensure consistent follow-up
  • Collaborate with Case Managers to develop permanent housing strategies
  • Maintain precise case documentation and reporting
Essential Duties:
  • Accompany clients to property viewings
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree with relevant professional experience
  • Familiarity with the New York City housing market and subsidy programs
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Capacity to foster collaborative relationships
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Team-oriented with proficient computer skills
  • Bilingual - English/Spanish is advantageous
