Job Summary:

UW Health is seeking an experienced Emergency Technician to lead our team in the Emergency Department. As a Lead Emergency Technician, you will be responsible for demonstrating expertise in emergency technician procedures, providing educational learnings to technicians, and following established safety and emergency policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate expertise in the performance of emergency technician procedures
• Provide educational learnings to emergency department technicians
• Follow established safety and emergency policies and procedures in daily practice or emergency situations
• Perform hazardous substance decontamination of contaminated patient(s) while wearing level C personal protective equipment

Requirements:

• Minimum - Completion of EMT-Basic
• Preferred - Completion of AEMT or Paramedic program
• Minimum - One year of experience as an ED Technician
• Licenses and Certifications: EMT - Basic license or National Registry of EMT, CPR/BLS certification
• Preferred - ACLS and PALS certification, National Registry or Wisconsin Advanced Emergency Medical Technician or Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic license
