Blood Collection Technician

New Castle County Mobile Team

We seek individuals who are naturally welcoming and committed to providing excellent customer service to our donors.

As a Blood Collection Technician, you will travel to various locations, meet new people, and work in a fast-paced environment.

You will receive a $2,500 sign-on bonus for joining our team.

The Blood Bank of Delmarva offers training for individuals who want to join the healthcare field and become part of our mobile team.

Our Mobile Blood Collection Technicians work a varied schedule, visiting different mobile blood drives weekly at various locations.

We encourage work-life balance and are looking for individuals who want to be in a healthcare role.

This position offers a 3-step career ladder for new employees to develop and demonstrate advanced blood collection procedures.

During severe weather or emergency operation events, this position is essential.

You will conduct donor interviews in a confidential and professional manner to determine donor eligibilities according to BBD standards.

Initiates whole blood collection/phlebotomy procedures and monitors the donors progress, according to BBD collection guidelines.

Prepares for donor interviews and blood collection by ensuring that interview materials and phlebotomy equipment and supplies are set up and/or operable in keeping with Quality Control standards.

Phlebotomy training is a plus.
