About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified Early Kindergarten Teacher to join our team at Eastland Preparatory Academy in Columbus, Ohio. As a dedicated educator, you will provide a superior education for all students, creating a positive classroom environment that prioritizes student learning and social-emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students
  • Differentiate instruction to ensure all students receive a high-quality education
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and development
  • Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction
  • Manage student behavior and create a positive classroom environment
  • Implement school-approved curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of students
  • Communicate effectively with families regarding student growth and development
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of non-instructional activities, as needed
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment

About You:

  • Active and current state of Ohio teaching license in the appropriate content area
  • Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
  • High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information
  • Able to supervise students of various ages in different school settings
  • Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
  • Experience working in an urban environment
