Job Title: ECE (Preschool) Teacher - School Year

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated ECE (Preschool) Teacher to join our team at the C. Ray Williams Early Learning Center. As a key member of our educational team, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for our young students.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the Ohio Department of Education Content Standards and the adopted curriculum of the C. Ray Williams Early Childhood Center.
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development in children.
  • Establish and maintain open communication with families, including regular home visits and parent conferences.
  • Administer medication according to State Licensing Requirements.
  • Participate in family involvement activities and evening center programs.
  • Complete at least 10 hours in ODE-approved professional development and 15 hours a year for licensing from July 1 through June 30 of the current school year.
  • Maintain and update children's educational folders and portfolios.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Child Development, Family Studies, Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 3, Pre-Kindergarten-Kindergarten Montessori, or Intervention Specialist (Preschool Special Education).
  • Associates Degree in Child Development with Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 3 licensure.
  • Ability to comply with Ohio Department of Education Licensing Rules and Whitehall City Schools hiring policies.
Working Conditions:
  • Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue.
  • Excellent observation and communication skills.
  • May perform strenuous tasks, such as lifting, when working with students.
  • Assisting students with behavioral/management needs.
  • Frequent evening and/or weekend work.
