The Chief Operations Executive is tasked with overseeing and managing the administrative direction, financial performance, and operational activities of the organization. This role also encompasses special projects assigned by the CEO, operational oversight, and collaboration with nursing and departmental leaders. The COO will assume the responsibilities of the CEO during their absence.

Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field.
  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • Clinical degree with licensure is acceptable, accompanied by progressive management experience.
Experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years in a leadership position at the administrative level is required.
  • Five (5) years of clinical or hospital operations experience with supervisory and personnel management responsibilities.
  • P&L accountability over service lines and/or departments.
  • Education and experience prerequisites may be waived at the discretion of the Administrator.
Qualifications:

Proven experience with TJC, CMS, and state licensing. Ability to develop criteria-based reports and policies. Demonstrated proficiency in planning and implementing hospital operating systems, including budget development, risk management, and quality assurance. Knowledge of county, state, and federal standards, regulations, and accreditation processes. Familiarity with inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services.Skills:

Strong organizational and time management abilities. Capacity to make sound, independent judgments based on scientific and ethical principles. Ability to engage in complex mental activities and navigate intricate technical situations. Capability to work effectively under high-stress conditions and adapt to fluctuating workloads and assignments. Proficient communication skills across various mediums, both verbal and written. Maintain a high level of discretion to ensure confidentiality. Ability to comprehend and execute oral and written instructions and procedures.EEO Statement
