The responsibilities of this position involve working collaboratively with medical and operational leaders at Amphibious Medics, local healthcare providers, and client personnel. The daily duties include patient care, managing ongoing workers' compensation cases, facilitating Return to Work (RTW) programs, and monitoring treatment plans. This role necessitates close interaction with external medical professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct triage, provide first aid, and refer to external medical providers as necessary.
  • Exhibit composure, quick thinking, and sound judgment in emergency situations to determine appropriate care.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and manage the medical records database for the site.
  • Oversee on-site inventory, ensuring supplies are stocked and equipment is sanitized.
  • Communicate with external medical providers regarding the progress of workers' injuries and provide follow-up care.
  • Prepare daily activity reports for the safety and management teams, including regular site visits to engage with workers and supervisors.
  • Assist in organizing health fairs on an annual, semi-annual, or quarterly basis and participate in safety awareness meetings with construction personnel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least one year of full-time experience in emergency medical response.
  • Capability to lift and carry a minimum of 35 lbs.
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for at least five hours during a workday.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Education and Certification

  • Possession of a valid Paramedic License.
  • Current CPR certification at the Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider level (American Heart Association) or Professional Rescuer (American Red Cross).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with OSHA regulations, particularly in 29 CFR 1910.
  • Background in large-scale construction site operations.
  • Familiarity with the workers' compensation claims process.
  • Instructor certification for First-Aid, CPR, and AED training.
  • Possession of an active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 card.
