About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our Clinical Care Team at Conviva Care Centers. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform pre-visit planning and manage the provider's schedule to ensure efficient workflow
  • Obtain and record medical history and vital signs, and room patients for medical procedures and treatments
  • Perform specimen collection and point-of-care testing, and prepare and administer medications under the direction of healthcare providers
  • Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Maintain established quality control standards and use your skills to make a positive impact on patient care
Requirements
  • Medical Assistant diploma or certificate of completion from a Medical Assisting program
  • 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience in a clinic setting, with bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
  • Current CPR certification and hands-on professional Phlebotomy experience
  • Ability to work at the Conviva Care clinic located at 100 S Zarzamora, San Antonio, TX 78207
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active Certified Medical Assistant/CMA or Registered Medical Assistant/RMA certification from a recognized organization
  • Experience with HEDIS and ICD/CPT coding, Electronic Medical Records, and working in a fast-paced/high-volume environment
