About the Role

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a clean, safe, and efficient environment for surgical procedures, utilizing aseptic techniques and preparing materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures, maintaining a sterile field and anticipating their needs.
  • Set up and operate various types of equipment used in the operating room, ensuring proper function and maintenance.
  • Transport patients and equipment, and maintain a high level of customer service and communication.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient procedures, and maintain a safe and respectful work environment.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull with 30 pounds of force, and perform other physical demands of the role.
