About the Role

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, providing exceptional patient care, and maintaining a safe and efficient environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain the operating room and equipment for surgical procedures.
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
  • Maintain aseptic technique and follow infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infection.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure the successful completion of procedures.
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift equipment as needed.
