Your Impact


As an Activities Director, you will play a crucial role in enriching the lives of our residents by planning, organizing, and overseeing a diverse range of activities that cater to their social, spiritual, and psychological needs.

Ensure that residents receive assistance for activities and events as required.

Provide in-room activities for residents who are unable to participate in daily events.


Develop an ongoing calendar of activities that creatively addresses multiple needs and is engaging and accessible to individuals of all ages and abilities.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A degree and certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist; or
  • Certification as an Activity Director by the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals; or
  • Two (2) years of experience in a social or recreational program within the past five (5) years, including one (1) year of full-time experience in a resident activities program in a healthcare setting; or
  • Completion of a state-approved training course.

Additionally, one (1) to two (2) years of management or supervisory experience is required.
