Under the direction of the Administrator-Long Term Care or VP LTC, and in accordance with established policies and procedures and federal guidelines, the Activities Director provides supervision to employees/volunteers assigned to the Activities/SPEC NEEDS – NEURO BEHAV departments. The ideal candidate will develop and implement group and individual activity programs that cater to the diverse needs of residents/patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement activity programs that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being of residents/patients

Supervise and train employees/volunteers to ensure high-quality service delivery

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination

Maintain accurate records and reports as required by federal guidelines and Finger Lakes Health policies

Requirements:

Minimum: Associates Degree in a related field and 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program

Preferred: Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, Recreational Therapist, or Occupational Therapist

Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office products
