Pharmacometrician - Biomedical Modeling Specialist

Position Overview:

The Pharmacometrician plays a crucial role in executing sophisticated pharmacometric modeling and statistical evaluations to bolster laboratory and clinical research initiatives. This position involves independent execution of project-related tasks, employing both established methodologies and innovative techniques for data analysis. The individual will also contribute to the preparation of manuscripts to share modeling outcomes in reputable journals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer pharmacometric expertise to researchers across designated collaboration areas, engaging in all facets of pharmacometric and statistical analyses for basic, translational, and clinical studies. Ensure data acquisition for modeling is accurate and verified.
  • Design, oversee, and implement quality control protocols for both clinical and preclinical research data, developing methods to validate pharmacometric research findings.
  • Assist in the preparation of pharmacometric results for presentations, posters, and peer-reviewed publications, potentially serving as a co-author or primary author on relevant works.
  • Provide education and training in pharmacometric methodologies to designated individuals as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Perform additional duties as required to achieve departmental and institutional objectives.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in mathematics, engineering, or computer science, complemented by advanced training in pharmacometrics or quantitative systems biology modeling is required.
  • A Master's degree or PhD in mathematics, biomedical engineering, or a related discipline with advanced training in pharmacometrics or quantitative systems biology modeling is preferred.

Experience:

  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience in pharmacometrics, biostatistics, or a related research field is required.
  • For candidates with a PhD, three years of relevant experience in pharmacometrics or biostatistics is necessary.
  • Familiarity with standard pharmacometric and statistical methodologies, software, and study design is preferred.
