Payroll Specialist Job Description

PrideStaff Financial is seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for compiling, preparing, and accurately entering timekeeping and payroll data for all departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compute and disburse salaries, deductions, taxes, and other withholdings
  • Post payroll data and prepare reports
  • Stay updated with the taxation of salaries, benefits, and other factors
  • Process and monitor garnishment orders and other factors that impact payroll specifications
  • Prepare all related payroll reports, including tax payments, W-2s, child support, and garnishments
  • Update and maintain database regarding salaries
  • Assist in payroll audits
Requirements:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years payroll experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of tax and wage laws
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent data entry skills
