Job Title: Associate Merchandising Manager

Epoca International LLC is a leading designer and distributor of consumer houseware products. We are seeking an experienced Associate Merchandising Manager to join our team and contribute to the success of our home decor business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute merchandising strategies for home decor categories to drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with the design team to curate and select new products that meet aesthetic and functional requirements.
  • Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape to ensure product offerings remain relevant and innovative.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to manage production timelines, costs, and quality control.
  • Provide clear and accurate communication on sample revision comments to the sourcing team throughout the sample development process.
  • Actively follow up on product quotes and sample development from concept through production, ensuring deadlines are met and finalized products are executed to design specifications.
  • Collaborate with the sales team on product cost analysis of benchmark items to align on target costs and margin requirements.
  • Maintain organized and detailed records of product specifications, costs, and vendor agreements.
  • Assist in preparing presentations and reports on merchandising performance for senior management.
  • Stay updated on emerging home decor trends and provide insights for product development.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business, Design, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in merchandising, preferably in home decor or a related industry.
  • Strong design aesthetic and knowledge of current trends in home decor.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and costs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and other merchandising tools.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with both internal teams and external vendors.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience with product development in the home decor industry.
  • Familiarity with supply chain management and inventory planning is a plus.
Physical Requirements:

The employee typically works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone, and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office. The employee may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the workday. The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle, or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to 20 pounds.
