Koble Inc is looking for an experienced Software Engineer - C++ to join our team in Lancaster PA or Moscow ID. This role will focus on improving the maintainability of a successful product with hundreds of active customer organizations through incremental refactoring, test harness development, and technology upgrades.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned software engineer who is passionate about building software that leads to customer success. As a member of our team, you will be working alongside experienced developers to learn an older codebase and modernize it using cutting-edge technologies.

Requirements:

  • Practical industry experience in C++.
  • A willingness to dive in and discover the details of an old codebase.
  • Desire to take ownership of work.
  • Future-oriented approach to the job at hand.
  • Ability to work with current teammates through change.
  • Experience developing test harnesses for GUI applications.

Preferred Experience:

  • Any of Win32 MFC, ATL, COM, ActiveX.
  • Incremental upgrading of an older codebase.
  • Team Foundation Server, Git, modern Windows APIs, Azure DevOps.
  • Accounting/Manufacturing/Distribution domain industry domain knowledge.
