About the Role:
As a Vehicle Quality and Durability Expert at The Shyft Group, you will be responsible for leading the design and validation of vehicle features that enhance product quality and durability. Your primary focus will be on providing cost-effective engineering solutions while collaborating with various teams to meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement design strategies to improve vehicle quality and durability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet customer needs and regulatory requirements
• Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline processes, maximize financial profitability, and address manufacturing challenges
• Work closely with production, purchasing, and customers to provide support and drive business growth
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to continuously improve designs and processes

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• 2+ years of experience in product design engineering
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD software
• Knowledge of metal fabrication, forming, tolerances, and capabilities
• Familiarity with industrial extrusion processes and regulatory requirements
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
