Position Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Reporting To: Maintenance Manager
Role Summary: The Maintenance Supervisor plays a crucial role in the leadership of the facility. This position is responsible for assisting the Maintenance Manager and overseeing the maintenance team to enhance operational efficiency and foster a positive work environment focused on employee engagement and retention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute a range of tasks to support the operations of Phoenix Global.
- Provide maintenance services and manage equipment for the operational fleet.
- Adhere to the policies and procedures established by Phoenix Global and its clients.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures, including the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in mandatory safety meetings and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Implement proper handling and lifting techniques for materials.
Operational Management:
- Plan work schedules and allocate resources effectively.
- Conduct quality control and assurance checks.
- Supervise shifts and delegate maintenance tasks on various transportation units.
- Document all completed maintenance work and track the usage of parts and lubricants.
Required Skills and Attributes:

- Attention to detail and thoroughness in work.
Work Environment:
This position is situated in a steel mill environment, necessitating a high regard for safety protocols and the use of appropriate PPE. Routine use of standard office equipment is also required.
Physical Requirements:
The role demands physical stamina, including the ability to stand, walk on various surfaces, and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience with technical equipment and machinery, particularly in heavy diesel mobile equipment.
- A minimum of two years of supervisory experience in an industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of steel mill operations and heavy mobile equipment.
- Ability to adapt to changing operational needs and schedules.
- Commitment to employee safety and equipment maintenance.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and shifts.
- Dependability and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
