CNC Machining Specialist

1 Resource Group is pleased to present an exciting opportunity for a CNC Machining Specialist to become a vital member of our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in programming and operating CNC machinery to produce high-precision components.
The ideal candidate will possess experience with steam blade turbines and 5-axis machining.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Design Engineers during the design phase to ensure effective and economically viable designs for machined components.
- Develop CNC programs for precision parts using various CNC machine tools, including 3, 4, and 5-axis vertical and horizontal machining centers, CNC lathes, and wire EDMs.
- Maintain programs and documentation in a systematic and organized manner.
- Revise and enhance existing programs to align with new systems and machinery.
- Provide support to the Manufacturing Machine Center and assist in troubleshooting issues.
- Propose enhancements in methodologies and tools by leveraging the latest technologies to optimize manufacturing efficiency.
- Reduce cycle times and minimize waste.
- Design new products and implement necessary tooling and fixtures for the Machine Center.
- Recommend inspection tools and equipment.
- Provide estimates for run time and set-up time for cost accounting purposes.
- Draft clear setup instructions for each component.
- Design fixtures for new products in collaboration with Design Engineers, including layout tools, gage clamps, and assembly fixtures.
- Advise Design Engineers on practical and cost-effective machining strategies.
- Complete technical training and company orientation to enhance organizational and technical expertise.
Requirements:
Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment while adhering to all safety protocols. This position requires compliance with all safety regulations.
Utilize provided tools and technology effectively and efficiently.
Ensure professional communication with customers, suppliers, vendors, and colleagues.

Education:
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in CAD/CAM software or a related field.
Experience:
- Required: 5+ years of experience in manufacturing.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, SolidCam, and MasterCam.
- Preferred: Experience with Okuma 5-axis machines and steam blade turbine knowledge.
- Familiarity with the power and Oil & Gas industries.
Certifications:
Valid Driver's License.
