Job OverviewAt Casper, Phillips & Associates, we're seeking a skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll be responsible for managing small projects and assisting principal engineers with the design and review of structures from concept to construction. Your technical responsibilities will include sizing structural members, designing connections, and performing finite element analysis. You'll also have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects and receive training and mentorship from experienced engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Work on a wide variety of projects and receive training and mentorship from experienced engineers


Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with emphasis on structural engineering
  • US Licensed Professional Engineer
  • 3-10 years experience
  • AutoCAD drafting skills
  • Experience with finite element analysis
  • Familiar with ASCE 7 and AISC 360
  • Must be able to work in the United States


Preferred Skills
  • US Licensed Structural Engineer (salary can be adjusted for experience)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and Bluebeam
  • Familiar with SAP2000, Inventor, or Solidworks
  • Object Oriented Programming (C#, Visual Studio, VBA, etc.)
  • Knowledge of international codes such as EN, DIN, JIS, or GB
  • Knowledge of dynamic analysis of structures and non-linear analysis
  • Experience in steel connection design
  • Master of Science in Civil Engineering with emphasis on structural engineering
