About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Safety and Risk Management Intern at The Boldt Company. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe working environment for our employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in Safety Inspections and Investigations: Conduct regular safety inspections and investigations to identify potential hazards and risks, and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  • Develop and Implement Safety Training Programs: Assist in developing and implementing safety training programs for employees and clients, including orientation and refresher training.
  • Monitor and Report Safety Metrics: Monitor and report safety metrics, including incident rates and near-miss incidents, to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, project management, and human resources, to ensure a comprehensive approach to safety management.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university as a Junior or Senior in an undergraduate program, with a preferred major in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Skills and Abilities: Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with occasional travel to construction sites and ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Working Conditions

The working conditions of this position require the ability to work in a variety of environments, including construction sites, offices, and other locations. The employee must be able to effectively communicate with employees, clients, and other stakeholders, and be able to work in a team environment.
