Job Description

As a Senior Service Technician, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing access control equipment and IP-based video systems. This includes electrified and non-electrified locks, card readers, ancillary door devices, IP and analog cameras, head-end video recording devices, wired and wireless systems, and intercom systems. You'll travel to commercial client sites to troubleshoot and repair systems, ensuring operability and compliance with building codes.

  • Service and repair access control equipment and IP-based video systems, including locks, card readers, cameras, and intercom systems.
  • Troubleshoot system installations to identify issues and apply effective resolutions.
  • Apply documentation for tracking service-related issues.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skill in using hand and power tools, test equipment, and CCTV testing devices.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Provide remote diagnostic support and drive company-issued vehicles to perform services.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school degree or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of field experience.
  • Experience with software such as Software House, Lenel, AMAG, S2, Brivo, Milestone, Exacq, Axis, Bosch, Commend, DMP, Open Options, Notifier, Fluidmesh, or ONSSI.
  • Possession of state-specific licensing or ability to hold license once hired.
  • Understanding of Windows operating systems and IT network topology.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, mechanical and electronic aptitude, and ability to lift up to 50lbs.
