Endocrinology Advanced Practice Provider

We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to become a vital part of our innovative team. This position encompasses both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, delivering extensive endocrinology services in the Winston-Salem area and its surroundings.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver outpatient services at established locations and through virtual health platforms.
- Engage in the inpatient glucose management team.
- Utilize medical decision-making skills to formulate appropriate patient care strategies.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective team-based care.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures, providing explanations to patients.
- Perform procedural skills in accordance with departmental guidelines.
- Participate in basic science and clinical research initiatives.
- Mentor students and/or medical learners.
- Uphold the missions, values, and cultural commitments of the organization.
- Execute other related duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Physician Assistant (PA) Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program; a Master's Degree is preferred.
- Certification by NCCPA and licensure by the North Carolina Medical Board.
- At least one year of experience in a primary care or endocrinology setting.
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Master's Program; a Master's degree or higher is required.
- Licensure by the North Carolina Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner.
- Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner by AANP or ANCC.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a primary care or endocrinology setting.
