We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to enhance our exceptional team. This position encompasses both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, delivering extensive endocrinology services in the surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver outpatient services at established locations and through virtual health platforms.
- Contribute to the inpatient glucose management team.
- Utilize clinical judgment to formulate suitable patient care strategies.
- Work alongside the medical team to ensure effective collaborative care.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures, providing explanations to patients.
- Execute procedural skills in accordance with departmental protocols.
- Engage in both basic science and clinical research initiatives.
- Mentor students and/or medical trainees.
- Adhere to the missions, values, and cultural commitments of the organization.
- Perform additional related duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
- For Physician Assistants:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program; a Master's Degree is preferred.
- Certification by NCCPA and licensure by the North Carolina Medical Board.
- At least one year of experience in a primary care or endocrinology setting.
- For Nurse Practitioners:
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Master's Program; a Master's degree or higher is required.
- Licensure by the North Carolina Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner.
- Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner by AANP or ANCC.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a primary care or endocrinology environment.
