Experienced Nurse Practitioner for Endocrinology Services

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to become a vital part of our healthcare team. This position encompasses both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, delivering comprehensive endocrinology care in the surrounding regions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver outpatient services at established facilities and through virtual health platforms.
- Contribute to the inpatient glucose management team.
- Utilize clinical judgment to formulate suitable patient care strategies.
- Work alongside the medical team to ensure cohesive, team-based patient care.
- Order and interpret lab tests and diagnostic procedures, providing explanations to patients.
- Execute procedural tasks in accordance with departmental protocols.
- Engage in clinical research and basic science projects.
- Mentor students and medical trainees.
- Uphold the missions, values, and cultural commitments of the organization.
- Perform additional related duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
- For Physician Assistants:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program; a Master's Degree is preferred.
- Certification by NCCPA and licensure by the North Carolina Medical Board.
- At least one year of experience in a primary care or endocrinology setting.
- For Nurse Practitioners:
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Master's Program; a Master's degree or higher is required.
- Licensure by the North Carolina Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner.
- Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner by AANP or ANCC.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a primary care or endocrinology setting.
