Direct Support Professional

WDB Inc is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing personalized support to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their safety, health, and well-being are maintained.
Job Summary:The Direct Support Professional will provide direct support to individuals with disabilities, assisting with daily living skills, communication, community interaction, and recreation. This role requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality support, promoting independence, and enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.
Responsibilities:- Assist individuals with daily living skills, including dressing, grooming, toileting, bathing, eating, and sleep habits.
- Provide transportation to individuals using public transportation, company-provided vehicles, or personal vehicles (if approved).
- Accompany individuals into the community and assist with involvement in activities and interaction with the public.
- Monitor and maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating living environment.
- Assist individuals with physical therapy exercises and provide support with wheelchair use.
- Prepare and provide nutritious meals, assist with meal planning, shopping, and safe food storage.
- Perform household cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, scrubbing, and washing dishes.
- Check and assure all documentation is accurate and completed in a timely manner.
- Participate in the formulation and implementation of individual treatment plans.
- Provide individuals with formal and informal training to increase competence, self-reliance, power, choice, and independence.
- Follow established formal behavior support plans and guidelines for positive behavior support programs.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Age 18+.
- Pass a Health and Welfare Background Check.
- Must secure and maintain First Aid and CPR certification within 30 days.
- Must have a good driving record, provide proof of current driver's license and insurance (if required).
