Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Psychologist to join our team. As a Staff Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing psychological services to patients and their families, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychological services to patients and their families, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health disorders
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families
  • Conduct research and quality improvement initiatives
  • Participate in departmental and hospital-wide committees and initiatives
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited graduate program
  • Licensure to practice psychology in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia
  • Experience working with patients with mental health disorders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with patients with traumatic brain injuries, chronic pain, insomnia, and/or headaches
  • Prior work experience working within the VA system
  • Licensed Clinical Psychologist
  • Experience with cognitive and psychological testing
  • Training in CBT for chronic pain, CBT for insomnia, and/or CBT for headache
