The Role

Importance of Your Role:

The Financial Analyst for Supply Chain Operations plays a crucial role in enhancing our Supply Chain processes. This position is vital for driving financial strategy, analysis, and support across various supply chain functions such as Demand Planning, Procurement, Logistics, and Warehousing. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional analytical capabilities, a comprehensive grasp of financial concepts, and the skill to convert data into practical insights. This role will report directly to the Director of Finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Supply Chain leadership in meeting their goals in areas including demand forecasting, procurement, and logistics.
  • Analyze and assess cost structures within supply chain operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Deliver financial insights and recommendations aimed at optimizing supply chain expenditures and enhancing profitability.
  • Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts for supply chain divisions.
  • Track and report on budget performance, identifying concerns and opportunities for improvement within supply chain departments.
  • Collaborate with finance team members to maintain consistent financial practices and reporting across the organization.
  • Become proficient in various technologies within the Finance, Accounting, and Supply Chain systems.
  • Support month-end activities related to supply chain functions, including supplier purchase order deposits and logistics accruals.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned and required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting or financial planning and analysis.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively engage with all levels of management and departments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial software.

Physical Requirements:

This position operates in a professional office environment, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. The team member frequently communicates with internal colleagues, investors, and vendors. The role requires the ability to remain stationary for extended periods and to operate office machinery. Occasionally, the position may involve moving items weighing up to 50 lbs.
