Position Overview :

The Social Media Marketing Coordinator plays a pivotal role in executing the organic social media strategy, overseeing content marketing initiatives, and managing community interactions to elevate brand visibility and cultivate consumer loyalty.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong drive, meticulous attention to detail, and a keen understanding of brand messaging and customer engagement. The ability to collaborate seamlessly across various brands and work alongside internal creative and digital teams is essential. A readiness to utilize existing processes while integrating new best practices is crucial. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with brand marketing and cross-functional teams to develop and maintain a comprehensive content calendar that includes organic social media posts, blog articles, and influencer collaborations.
  • Manage social media platforms for our brands – Mercury Marine, Mercury Racing, and Quicksilver Products – across channels such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
  • Oversee the social media playbook, including conducting annual audits of channel performance, defining brand strategies, and establishing goals and best practices.
  • Work with brand marketing to curate content that drives awareness of mobile applications and forum management.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends, tools, and best practices in social media to ensure the company remains a leader in digital marketing and community engagement.
  • Explore new channel opportunities using test-and-learn strategies to keep brands relevant on social media.
  • Contribute to the creation of monthly blog topics, ensuring content is timely, engaging, and aligned with brand objectives.
  • Identify content opportunities by recognizing cross-brand synergies and liaising with industry partners.
  • Collaborate with digital marketing and creative services on the planning, execution, and evaluation of key product launches and campaigns.
  • Analyze social media metrics to inform strategic recommendations and provide monthly reports detailing engagement rates, reach, follower growth, and interactions.
  • Report on performance metrics and objectives during post-campaign evaluations.
  • Assist in producing content with special guests, influencers, and industry partners.
  • Implement the brand influencer strategy by identifying and collaborating with key influencers to drive growth.
  • Engage actively with the online community by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries promptly and professionally to foster a positive atmosphere.
  • Connect consumers with product support when necessary.
  • Monitor inquiries for influencer requests and product-related questions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5-6 years of relevant professional experience in social media management and strategy development.
  • Intermediate experience in creating engaging content for social media platforms, including Reels, Stories, and YouTube shorts.
  • Proficient in social media management tools.
  • Familiarity with influencer management and related tools.
  • Competent in design tools such as Canva or Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator.
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in translating visual brand identity into social media content.
  • Passion for staying current with all forms of social media, including emerging platforms.
  • Excellent copywriting skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm for real-time engagement on social media.
  • A commitment to creating personalized content that resonates with target audiences.
  • Ability to support community management across dedicated brands.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office tools.
  • SEO knowledge is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Experience with project management tools is beneficial but not required.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
