About the Role

The Head of Strategy for Clinical Solutions will be responsible for formulating and executing global strategies to drive corporate development and achieve profitable growth. This role will involve driving strategic analysis, providing market intelligence, and advising on strategic, operational, and business development objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the understanding of changing user and customer needs, and competitor developments.
  • Lead and support strategic projects across the Clinical Solutions business, working closely with product and commercial teams.
  • Support the Clinical Solutions strategic planning process and board presentations.
  • Develop close working relationships with the senior management team and across the global organization.
  • Manage multiple research/analysis requests and projects simultaneously.
  • Support and lead strategic M&A efforts, including due diligence and deal teams.
  • Establish partnerships and acquire/divest assets, including financial forecasting, analysis, and modeling.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the President of Clinical Solutions on high-priority cross-functional initiatives and projects.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate the ability to think structurally about a business and employ sophisticated analytical tools to identify potential areas of significant business value.
  • Possess an advanced core strategy skill-set, including the ability to structure problems, conduct thorough quantitative/qualitative analyses, and summarize findings.
  • Possess advanced research skills and resourcefulness, able to draw logical conclusions with often limited and imperfect information.
  • Be strategic and analytical, with advanced written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to influence effectively.
  • Demonstrate a keen sense of personal ownership, be a self-starter with a solution-led approach, and operate with pace and urgency.
  • Demonstrate proven skill in leadership, team orientation, and project management, and be effective in creating constructive relationships with leaders and peers in a matrixed organization.
  • Have experience gained working in the health sector on global strategy projects and have experience working with financial models and reports.
