Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical supervision to all residents and ensure high-quality patient care.
- Round on all facility residents to ensure their needs are met and provide support as needed.
- Assist the Director of Nursing in organizing and directing day-to-day nursing functions.
- Assist with staffing needs and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet patient care demands.
- Assist with audits and follow-ups to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Perform chart reviews to ensure accurate and complete patient records.
- Follow-up and monitor patient change of condition and various clinical issues.
- Participate in Interdisciplinary Team meetings to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Manage incident/accident practices to comply with State/Federal regulations as directed by DON.
- Manage and direct the Nursing Department in partnership with and in absence of DON.
Requirements:
- Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing and currently licensed in the state of Wyoming or a compact state.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other healthcare-related facilities - preferred but not required.
- Knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative, and restorative nursing and medical practices and procedures and laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long-term care.
- Positive attitude toward the elderly and disabled.
