Clinical Nurse Specialist

The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in delivering direct patient care within an outpatient clinical environment. This position involves assessing patient needs, providing educational resources, and supporting healthcare professionals in a comprehensive healthcare delivery framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute all tasks in alignment with Corporate Compliance standards;
- Evaluate patient requirements, assist medical staff in direct care, and initiate treatments under physician oversight while accurately documenting medical records;
- Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations, including testing and quality control in nursing practices;
- Deliver direct patient services through various clinical procedures within the authorized scope of nursing practice;
- Prepare patients for minor surgical procedures, monitor their condition during and after surgery, and keep physicians updated on patient progress;
- Assist or perform therapeutic procedures under supervision, including medication administration, dressing applications, and suture removals;
- Provide healthcare information to patients regarding treatment options, preventive measures, and chronic care management;
- Support physical examinations and other medical procedures, and may conduct designated laboratory tasks;
- Administer first-aid or emergency care as necessary and coordinate patient healthcare needs with the Case Manager;
- Complete proficiency assessments on all required nursing skills and procedures;
- Demonstrate proficiency in the Electronic Medical Records system;
- Fulfill nurse navigator responsibilities within designated focus areas when assigned.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education:
This role requires the RN to have graduated from an accredited nursing institution with an Associate Degree or diploma. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred. A minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in a clinical setting is necessary. The candidate must possess a valid nursing registration and maintain current BLS certification.

- Work is typically conducted in a business office/medical clinic environment, with occasional travel to other locations as needed.
