Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Supervisor to join our team at the City of Boston. As a key member of our community center team, you will be responsible for planning, supervising, and coordinating community programs and activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement community programs, working closely with the Community Center Council and committees to plan and evaluate programs.
  • Assist with the preparation of an annual work plan, ensuring alignment with community needs and goals.
  • Supervise personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure effective program delivery.
  • Organize and participate in fundraising activities, writing proposals to secure external funding.
  • Act as a liaison with Boston Public Schools personnel and community agencies to foster collaborative efforts and generate services and programs for the community.
Requirements
  • Three years of experience in a human service program, with at least one year in a supervisory and/or administrative capacity.
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in recreation, human services, management, or a related field may be substituted for two years of the required experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft applications and Google Suite.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail, with a strong commitment to community engagement.
