Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Global Energy Management Analyst to join our team in the United States. As a key member of our Global Energy Management team, you will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and processing market-relevant data to support our team in scheduling generation assets, congestion bidding, proprietary trading, and hedging activities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain energy management applications using SQL, Power BI, Python, and other programming languages.
- Create ad-hoc reports and data processes to improve energy market analytics and business requirements of other teams.
- Develop and maintain databases to collect all relevant GEM data, ensuring its integrity and ease of access for reporting, performing ad-hoc analyses, and distribution as needed.
- Build, maintain, and improve the group's Power BI dashboards, using APIs and Python, to transform data into information that monitors group performance and informs market decisions.
- Integrate data using web-scraping, APIs, and other 3rd party data providers into Market Operations' internal data systems and tools.
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field, with a focus on Computer Science and/or Programming.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Proficient knowledge of SQL, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI, Python, R, and MATLAB.
- Proven ability to program in Visual Basic.
- Experience in computer sciences, developing automation, or machine learning is a plus.
