Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative energy professional to join our new ventures team at Chord Energy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering or environmental science and proven project management skills. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate an ability to look across our industry and explore innovative technologies and solutions that align with the company's long-term sustainability goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and diligence new business initiatives that are aligned with the company's long-term goals and sustainability targets
  • Source new business opportunities across the energy value chain that are complementary to the company's longer-term operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assimilate new business initiatives into operational practices and project planning
  • Monitor and analyze innovations in emerging technologies to identify potential investment opportunities for business expansion and improvements
  • Manage data systems to track the development and application of new technologies that can further the company's operational and sustainability objectives
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Environmental Sciences
  • 9 years of oil and gas experience
  • Strong team building skills and ability to communicate effectively across all functions in the organization
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in a variety of areas including negotiations, project planning, budget development, employee supervision, and project management
  • Experience in business development or new ventures is a plus
  • Ability to lead diverse and distant teams through change and organizational transformation
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple projects
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment; flexible with the demands of a growing company
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Willing to travel to field offices and other locations
