Stan Houston Equipment Company is on the lookout for a dedicated Full-Time Sales Associate to enhance our Parts & Service Department.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday during standard business hours with a rotating Saturday morning shift.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the construction supplies, tools, and machinery available in our inventory.
  • Assist clients in finding products, checking stock levels, and accurately processing sales transactions using our point-of-sale system, including handling various payment methods.
  • Keep customers informed about current promotions and discounts.
  • Provide detailed information regarding the features, applications, and advantages of different construction materials to facilitate informed purchasing decisions.
  • Welcome customers with a friendly demeanor, assist with inquiries, offer tailored recommendations, and address any concerns.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations, including stocking shelves, organizing displays, and participating in inventory management.
  • Receive and organize incoming shipments, ensuring that merchandise is displayed attractively and stock levels are maintained.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to management.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shopping environment by regularly tidying up and reporting any maintenance issues.
Qualifications:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a customer-centric approach.
  • Basic computer proficiency for operating the point-of-sale system and accessing product information.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to following them.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in customer service or retail is preferred.
  • Familiarity with construction tools and equipment is a plus.
