The Chief Executive Officer will operate from the organization's central office, overseeing initiatives aimed at combating hunger and homelessness across the region.
A pivotal aspect of our mission is fostering volunteerism and building community partnerships.We are looking for an individual who can spearhead collaboration among individuals, families, businesses, educational institutions, and faith-based organizations that have been a source of hope and dignity in our community.
POSITION OVERVIEWThe Chief Executive Officer is a full-time professional appointed by the Board of Directors and is supported by a diverse group of knowledgeable advisors.
The CEO is an active and engaged leader dedicated to aligning with the Board in executing the organization’s mission and vision.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the mission and vision are implemented effectively and collaboratively with partners while exploring growth opportunities.
- Oversee financial management, including fundraising, budgeting, and record-keeping, while delegating responsibilities to financial staff.
- Collaborate with staff to maintain program integrity and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Monitor progress towards mission objectives and targets established in partnership with the Board.
- Represent the organization in community settings, fostering strong relationships and supporting development initiatives.
- Engage with staff, clients, donors, and volunteers regularly.
- Meet with the Board to discuss developments and collaborate on sustaining the organization’s mission.
- Identify and evaluate new service needs and opportunities for alignment with the mission.
- Demonstrate responsible stewardship of organizational resources.
- Recruit, manage, and develop staff, ensuring performance aligns with organizational standards.
- Engage with community and government leaders to advocate for policies that support the mission.
- Communicate the organization’s mission and activities in various public forums.
- Maintain a strong organizational identity and culture.
- Establish operational goals and plans in collaboration with the Board and staff.
- Implement strategic plans approved by the Board.
- Oversee property maintenance within budget constraints.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Board.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Active and engaged member of the community, knowledgeable about social service principles.
- Master's degree in management, business administration, or a related field.
- Five or more years of experience in managing a multi-service organization.
- Experience in securing and managing grants for funding support.
- Proven ability to collaborate with other organizations.
- Approachable personality, dedicated to fostering positive relationships.
- Resilience and dedication to service.

- Effective communication skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications.
