Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at Colonial Williamsburg. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, preparation, and presentation of all food and beverage operations in our historic area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement menus that showcase the best of American regional cuisine, while meeting the high standards of our guests and the Colonial Williamsburg brand.
  • Lead a team of experienced chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless execution of food and beverage operations.
  • Collaborate with our purchasing team to source the freshest and highest-quality ingredients, while maintaining control over food costs.
  • Implement and maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and quality control throughout our kitchens.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and inventory control systems to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Provide exceptional leadership, coaching, and development opportunities to our culinary team members.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our guests, colleagues, and partners to ensure a positive and memorable experience.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior culinary leadership role, preferably in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of success in menu development, kitchen operations, and team management.
  • Strong knowledge of American regional cuisine, menu engineering, and food cost control.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
